About the Role:
CrowdStrike is in search of a Systems Engineer II to join our growing Production Services team. The candidate will play an important role in the engineering and maintaining solutions for our production systems environments.
What You’ll Do:

Ability to understand complex technical systems architecture and help make recommendations for improvement
-
Have experience with Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machines
-
Troubleshoot server hardware issues
-
Familiarity with large-scale production deployments of servers and applications inside internal datacenter
-
Ability to read and write moderate to complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms. (common uses: Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Go)

On-call rotation with other team members
What You’ll Need:
-
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in Computer Science
-
Experience with Infrastructure technologies (Examples: Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
-
Configuration management experience with one or more tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible
-
Experience writing technical documentation
Ability to Demonstrate:
-
Self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment
-
Work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team
-
Team-player, positive attitude and flexible with a distributed team in multiple time zone

Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Bonus Points:

Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP

Knowledge of OSI model
-
Knowledge of bare metal provisioning technologies, such as Canonical MaaS
-
Knowledge of block storage solutions, such as TrueNAS
-
Knowledge of container systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
-
Knowledge of monitoring solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana and Zabbix
-
Knowledge with threat intelligence and mobile technology a plus

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $95,000 – $140,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
