FRP Manager Job
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Plans and Supervises manufacturing activities throughout all stages of the large and small parts production from mold preparation, gel coat application, lamination, pulling and trimming.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Managing overall production of FRP group to include: Safety / Quality / Daily Production / Employee Issues and Needs.
- Optimize part production and material efficiency through Continuous Improvement.
- Assist in recruitment / training / employee development.
- Ensure high quality standards through on the floor interaction with Leads / Employees by monitoring accuracy of each production step.
- Provide daily direction to Leads to ensure department alignment with operational strategies and culture.
- Compile and report on department monthly performance. And action plans when needed.
- Promote Safe Work Environment by ensuring all protocols are followed.
- Promote company 5S / Kaizen actives.
- Play key role in implementing new processes / equipment / technology.
QUALIFICATONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or manufacturing experience is preferred. Certain combinations of formal education and work experience could be adequate.
- 3-7 years supervisory experience in FRP manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be self driven and able to work in a fast pace team environment.
